In today’s operating room, the risk of transmitting infection is of vital concern. Surgical gowns and drapes are intended to protect both the patient and the surgical team. However, many impervious reusable and disposable gowns do not offer the comfort and protection needed during longer, higher risk surgical procedures.

Retex uses Burlington Barrier Fabrics to provide the ultimate in comfort and protection for surgical gowns, drapes and wraps. The unique garments are designed to deliver Level 3 barrier and Level 4 laminate performance during the longest operation.

Reusable Barrier Fabric’s special features is it is fluid resistant, non-linting and reusable.

Fluids are absorbed by the outer layer (absorbent pad) of an RBF drape or wrap but do not pass through to the second layer.
